Funding and Settlement Coordinator
Paulette Brothers, R.P., is the Funding and Settlement Coordinator for Gerhardt Law Office, PLC. Paulette joined Gerhardt Law Office, PLC in 2007 with 19 years of legal experience, as well four years of executive secretarial experience. During her 25 years of work experience, she assisted attorneys as a paralegal in many areas of law; however, her primary focus has been probate and real estate as well as law office administration. She has been responsible for processing testate and intestate estates including review and analysis of decedents’ assets and financial information. She also has extensive experience in all phases of residential real estate transactions, including the performance of countless title examinations, reporting her findings to the supervising attorney, preparing documents in connection with the escrow process, and attendance at closing. Her law office administrative experience involved management of firm and client trust accounts as well as supervision of the computer network and utilization of the computerized calendar, case management system and accounting. She originated office policies for the use of various legal software packages, provided training and written procedures for the various packages, and integrated the software with internal law office procedures. Since joining the Team at Gerhardt Law Office, PLC, her primary focus has been serving clients by coordinating the funding and settlement process in connection with Living Trusts.
Paulette has successfully completed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam, administered through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. She is therefore entitled to us the initials R.P., after her name, to show that she is a PACE Registered Paralegal. She has served as co-faculty for the continuing educational program "The Probate Process for Vermont Paralegals: From Start to Finish" (2004) and co-authored the manual with the same title which was published by the Institute for Paralegal Education.
